webinarI have long been touting the need and demand for formal instruction or workshops in the ‘forgotten subjects’, see my article on diversifying your offerings including the forgotten subjects, the new subjects and the taster subjects  and finally it would seem another voice has joined me.

The National Afterschool Association in conjunction with the Home Baking Association are bringing you a webinar on how to add cookery to your program. You don’t have to be an afterschool provider to provide cookery! Many tutoring companies are offering evening and saturday workshops for non academic skills and are able to offer competitive pricing for larger student groups.

Thursday November 6th at 1pm Eastern, learn about:

Cooking and Baking with Friends in Out-of-School Programs

During this educational hour-long webinar you will learn…
• Why cooking and baking skills matter.
• How to teach food skills without the use of a kitchen facility.
• Why cooking builds active food lifestyles and reduces risk of obesity.
• Baking’s STEM + Art connections and resources.
• And more!

Space is limited. Register today! webinar

webinarAs we all diversify to meet the needs of our local communities you could find yourself offering test prep tutoring, subject tutoring, saturday workshops in cooking or woodwork, afterschool camp in the evenings and foster care tutoirng for your local Department of Children & Families.

It does not matter whether you have multiple programs some of which are billed to parents and some to the government or even half parent half agency – Oases can manage all of your programs in one central database sharing your staff across the programs if necessary.

Billing, payroll, scheduling and reporting. Real time information for finger tip control and a bird’s eye view of your business.

Request a demo and see what oases can do for you.
