At home and at work I uses Dropbox every single day, I love it!
oaSES customers out there will know that we offer file storage, with or without employee access within the oaSES system, but sometimes you want to store or send extremely large or personal files and this is where Dropbox comes into its own.
If an oaSES customer needs to email me a large quantity of files or the files are large, I ask them to place them in dropbox so I can grab them.
Dropbox synchs your files across all of your devices but can also be accessed online from anywhere you have internet access if you find yourself without your laptop or phone. However, the deciding factor for me was being able to download it to my computer and it sits there as a normal folder and you can drag and drop files into the folder and they transfer to the online site behind the scenes without you having to physically upload them. It will also synch with any other devices that you have.
Within your Dropbox area, you can create multiple folders and you can invite other Dropbox users to share individual folders. It’s like having your own shared drive. You can delete the file to save space once the recipient has accessed them.
Best of all, if you invite someone to share a Dropbox folder and they are not yet a Dropbox user then you will receive free space for each person that downloads the computer version. So you can continue to use it for free, I’ve never had to upgrade to the next level and I’ve had Dropbox for about 2 years.
