How to Get your e-mail opened
It also happens to be the best way to get your direct mail opened… the best way to get your wife and kids to listen to you… and the best way to get women (and men) interested in you, romantically.
And NO, I’m not talking about: telling them how much money you make… wearing pheromones… or saying that you’re about to jump off a ledge.
It’s much easier than any of these things, and much less stressful, as well.
Are you ready?
OK, here goes.
The best way to get your e-mail opened, and the best way to make people listen to you and command their attention… is to make them curious.
See, curiosity is one of those emotions that commands virtually IMMEDIATE attention.
And it also creates a psychological “open loop.”
“Open loops” are those things that create some kind of emotional disturb or disconnect, that stays open until you “close” it. It’s like when your child is injured or in pain. Until they are taken care of, it’s an open loop for you, psychologically, and emotionally.
Curiosity is the same thing – and the more intense the curiosity, the deeper and more troubling, the open loop becomes.
For example, instead of, “Make chocolate cookies at home,” a better way to do it would be, “How to create mouth-watering bakery-fresh cookies at home, in less than 15 minutes” Or even, “Mouth-watering bakery-fresh cookies in 15 minutes?”
See, one gives you information, and the other one creates curiosity ABOUT information.
“5 Homework Study Mistakes”
This isn’t bad, but what what happens when you increase the curiosity:
“5 Common Homework Study Mistakes That Turn DEADLY!”
See what happens when you increase the curiosity?
You can almost “feel” the urge to dig into this information.
So keep this in mind next time you’re trying to get attention — you will thank me a thousand times over, if you do.
100 COPYWRITING Ideas
Copywriting is extremely important. Copywriting is salesmanshipmin print. The headline used to attract the prospect accounts fo 80% of the ad. An intriguing headline is often the difference between reeling in a potential customer or losing them. Good copy creates interest and interest leaves people with the desire to learn more about your offer. Below are 100 copywriting marketing ideas to help you improve your headlines.
Strategy # 1 – “Whether it’s a headline or a title to your book, the first words your prospect sees need to be compelling and create a desire to find out more.”
Strategy # 2 – “You will find that the best headlines are those that either give news or appeal to the reader’s self-Interest.”
Strategy # 3 – “Prospects want specific statements about the benefits of your product, not general statements or clichés.”
Strategy # 4 – “Not only should you write about the benefits of your product, be sure to include what the prospect will lose if they don’t buy your product.”
Strategy # 5 – “Your prospect will best remember important points if it’s repeated in a variety of ways at least three times.”
Strategy # 6 – “The old adage, ‘The more you tell, the more you sell’ is true. Long copy always out sells short copy.”
Strategy # 7 – “To find an ad writer that will help your ad stand out from all the clutter, you need to find a hungry reader of great literature. They will create vivid ads that will be remembered.”
Strategy # 8 – “A good copywriter doesn’t work 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They always have a paper and pencil in hand to write down ideas the minute they occur so their thought isn’t lost on the way to work.”
Strategy # 9 – “Your headline should appeal only to your target prospect. When you qualify your prospects you prevent wasted follow-up marketing efforts. ”
Strategy # 10 – “Your headline should offer your biggest benefit to get their attention and to answer their gnawing question, ‘What’s in it for me?”

Ask The Experts
A: A few states have continued to request applications, Florida and North Carolina are two that come to mind quickly. Of course, I can not definitively tell you why but I suspect that the state wants to continue to give the districts a choice of SES tutoring as an intervention tool. What the waiver also does is that it allows a district to use their funds for all schools in their district rather than Title I schools specifically. That means that a district may choose to offer tutoring to their students who do poorly irrespective of the school they attend. That would be in part because school choice will no longer be an option for parents and they will be able to turn around and tell parents that while they can not move their student, they can choose tutoring. Another possibility is that waivers are granted year to year at this point. If the party in power loses the election, NCLB becomes the law of the land again and states may recognize that if they dismantle SES completely, they may have a problem in the future. After the election, Congress may also choose to tackle NCLB, again, tutoring may once again become a mandate. Any state that completely dismantles their program like Georgia is going to have to work hard to start it up again.

Why Social Media Should NEVER Replace Your Blog
Any good Internet marketing expert understands the importance of business blogging and social media marketing. Unfortunately, some business and website owners see them as one and the same. A blog is a place to share content and promote dialogue with current and potential clients and customers. Social media is a place to share content and promote dialogue with current and potential clients and customers. So, what’s the point of investing time in both? It’s free to set up a social media page and setting up a blog requires spending money on design and development. Is a blog actually needed? Yes, it is. While blogs and social media serve similar purposes they certainly are not one in the same and a good online marketing strategy employs both.
Social media marketing is a necessity for businesses of all sizes and industries today. Millions of people sign in to social media accounts on a daily, or even hourly, basis to connect and share. Social media is where people’s eyes are which means that it needs to be where businesses are. Not only does social media improve brand visibility and awareness and keep a business top of mind, it also has search engine ranking implications. That’s right. A robust social media presence can have an effect on search engine rankings. The search engines understand that content that is shared frequently must be something good. Since they want to serve up good search results, they weigh these social signals and include them in the ranking algorithm. Since a search engine presence (or lack thereof) can make or break you, this is another critical reason to get involved with social media.
OK, so social media is great. Then, why is it that you need a blog again? Well, there are a few reasons actually. Social media is only effective as long as your account is active and you take the time to communicate with followers, engage in and promote dialogue, and share quality content. Where does this quality content come from? From your blog! Consumers are savvy these days and do plenty of research before making a purchase. They want information, and they want it in more than 140 characters. Blog content helps fuel social media content and the two work together to establish links and consumer and search engine trust over time.
Another important reason to maintain a business blog and not only rely on social media is because you actually own the content and have full authority with a blog. Did you really think that you owned anything on the social networks? Nope. You are at complete mercy of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc. These networks have undergone some major changes recently and will only continue to evolve. They can make changes to brand pages and regulate brand sharing however they’d like to. A business blog allows you to be in control at all times.
Social media brand pages and business blogs both provide places to share and interact, but one should never replace the other. Instead, create a strategy that integrates both tactics together for maximum exposure.
