So what other resources can you tap into to find free help for your new or existing business?
Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA)
The MBDA offers technical assistance, access to financing options, contract opportunities and new markets for business expansion and job creation. It is geared to businesses owned by members of minority communities.[divider top=”no”]
Women’s Business Centers (WBC)
Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) represent a national network of nearly 100 educational centers designed to assist women start and grow small businesses. WBCs operate with the mission to “level the playing field” for women entrepreneurs, who still face unique obstacles in the world of business.
Through the management and technical assistance provided by the WBCs, entrepreneurs (especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged) are offered comprehensive training and counseling on a variety of topics in many languages to help them start and grow their own businesses.
Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE)
SCORE is a non-profit organization that the SBA considers an important part of its network. SCORE consists of a group of entrepreneurs, business leaders and executives who help small businesses start and grow through education, counseling and mentoring.[divider]
